Daisy and Brownie Girls in Troop 34163 have been busy making decorations for the PTO Spring Festival planned for Friday, April 29 from 5:30 - 8:00. The festival theme this year is “Down on the Farm.” The entire community is invited to attend the event at Tecumseh Middle School which will include food and many games including a cake walk, basketball shooting, fish bowl, Pepsi toss, and so much more. In addition there will be an auction featuring class baskets, tickets and gift cards to area events and businesses. Bring the whole family and join us “Down on the Farm.”

Tecumseh Middle School’s first place New Carlisle Optimist Speech contestants, sixth grader Nick Wile and eighth grader Harley Adamson presented their speeches to the Optimist Club members this week. The students competed at the district level in Lima this past weekend. Pictured with them is (back) Joe Madden, Optimist Lt. Governor for the state district; Paula Crew, Tecumseh Schools Assistant Superintendent; and Sue Ann Martin, Optimist president.

Tecumseh Superintendent Mr. Norm Glismann regularly visits students and classrooms throughout the district. Last week, he stopped by Park Layne Elementary and read to kindergarten and first grade classes.

Tecumseh High School student Kyra Mounts’ artwork was selected as the winner for Region 12 in the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition.  Her portrait of fellow student Emily Baker will also be entered in the 2016 Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery.  It will be displayed at the Middletown Arts Center April 15th-20th.
