On May 9, Deputy Sheila Crews saw a man walking down S. Adams St. and recognized him as someone she had dealt with in the past.

She recognized him as Terrance Jennings, of W. Jefferson St.

When Jennings saw Crews, he put his hoodie over his head, then took off running down an alley and between houses.

Crews checked him for warrants and found he had an active warrant from Greene County.

She called for backup, and Deputies Anderson, Moody and Allender were soon on the scene searching for him.

A bystander said that Jennings was running between houses on S. Adams and W. Madison.

Deputy Moody saw Jennings and yelled at him to stop and get on the ground. Jennings looked at Moody and took off running again.

Moody kept yelling at Jennings to stop, but he did not comply.

Jennings tried to jump over a fence and was stopped by Moody and Anderson.

He was arrested on his warrant and was charged with failure to comply and resisting Arrest.
