A rollover accident briefly closed a portion of State Route 235 on Tuesday, April 25.

According to eyewitnesses, a white SUV was heading north on 235 and slowed to turn into a private residence in the 400 block of N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. A red pickup truck was behind the SUV and did not see it slow down. The red pickup went left into the emergency lane, across the private driveway and back onto the road in an attempt to miss the stopped vehicle. The red pickup truck flipped on it's top upon re-entering the roadway.

The driver of the red pickup truck was able to exit the vehicle and was walking around the scene of the accident. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, but say that drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor. More information will come when it becomes available.

The Bethel Township Fire Department responded and was assisted by the Bethel - Miami Fire Department and the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
