Clayton Allen mugshot from the Clark County Jail

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on the 800 block of W. Washington St. Monday afternoon and seized weapons and drugs according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

Clayton Jeremy Allen, of that address, was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs.

Deputies seized 8 firearms, numerous pills and suspected methamphetamines.

Deputy Beller states in his probable cause affidavit that he stopped a red truck after leaving the Washington St. address for failure to signal on a turn. The driver of the vehicle, Barrett Rihm, agreed to let the Deputy search him, but did not agree to a search of the vehicle. Rihm was found to have methamphetamines in his wallet. Another passenger, Lance Thompson, informed deputies of “two rigs” he had on him. A bag of Oxycontin was located under the seat where Clayton Allen was sitting, and a wooden container of marijuana was discovered in the armrest of the vehicle.

Rihm and Thompson both stated that they were at Allen’s house to get meth as they wanted to “hang out and get high.” Clayton refused to make any statements. He was arrested for drug trafficking and possion of drugs.

Deputy Beller also charged Allen for selling drugs while there were several children in the park across the street, a third degree felony.

Allen entered a plea of innocent Tuesday morning in Clark County Municipal Court. Bond was set for $10,000. Allen is also in court for violation of a protection order, domestic violence, menacing, assault, obstructing official business & resisting arrest.

“We acted upon neighbor complaints,” said Major Andy Reynolds of the Sheriff’s Office. “We conducted a thorough investigation, obtained a search warrant and exercised the warrant,” he said.

Reynolds said that Allen lived at the home with his parents. He said that investigators are consulting with the Prosecutor’s office regarding charges against the parents for permitting drug activity in the home.
