A candle light vigil was held for Lawrence L. Mason on Thursday, Sept. 18.

Subjects that were in the hit-skip vehicle at the time of the crash have come forward and the vehicle has been located according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. The vehicle has been towed to a secure cite as evidence. No arrests have been made at this time. The crash still remains under investigation.

At approximately 7:43pm on September 6th, 2016, Lawrence L. Mason 45, of Medway, Ohio was standing on the east edge of North Tecumseh Road. Mr. Mason was struck by an unknown vehicle that was traveling Northbound. The unknown vehicle fled the scene of the crash northbound on North Tecumseh Road. Mr. Mason was transported by Care Flight to Miami Valley Hospital with life threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital.

Witnesses at the scene described the vehicle as a Grey or Pewter colored sport utility vehicle or minivan. The crash closed North Tecumseh Road for approximately an hour. The Springfield Post was assisted at the scene by the Clark County Sheriff’s office and the Bethel Township Fire and EMS.
