Survivors include a son Philip K. (Beth Hootman) Kazer of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Patricia A. (Bill) Melind of Indianapolis, IN and Lisa J.(Eric) Tooker of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren, Meghan Kazer (Ben) Plog of Rochester, NY, Alexander Kazer of Chicago, IL, Lindsay Kazer of Charlotte, NC, Ryan Sheridan, Kelly Sheridan and Jack Sheridan, all of Indianapolis, IN, Sarah Tooker (Kendall) Day of Tucson,

AZ, Katie Tooker, Abby Tooker and Matthew Tooker, all of Phoenix, AZ; and one sister, Delores (William) Berry of New Carlisle, OH. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Louise Kazer and two sisters, Ruth Barnhart and Norma Larason.

Mrs. Kazer received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University and her Master’s Degree from Wayne State University. She retired in 1990 from the Piqua City School District during which time she taught Home Economics for twenty years at both Wilder Junior High School and Piqua Central High School.

Prior to moving to Arizona, she was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ with extended involvement in the many programs that were championed by the church.  She loved to travel, was an avid bridge player, enjoyed the company of her many friends, but her most treasured moments were those spent with her children and grandchildren.  She leaves with her family a legacy of strength, love and kindness for which they will be forever grateful.

A tribute to her life is pending for the summer of 2015 in Piqua. Memorial contributions may be made to the Piqua Education Foundation, 719 E. Ash Street, Piqua, OH 45356 or to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, NY, NY 10018. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through Jamieson and Yannucci.com.
