Homer Kendrick, 81, of Medway passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 in the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Hospital. He was born on October 4, 1934 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of Jack and Arminda (Slone) Kendrick. Homer served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and retired after 20 years of service as a Master Sargent. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary and Judy; and infant twin children Lisa Marie and James Michael. Homer is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Edna V. (Harris) Kendrick; son Ted (Leslie) Kendrick; daughters Janet (companion David Walton) Rankin and Sheryl (Tom) Fields; brother Ray Kendrick; sister Norma Gilly; grandchildren Shannon (Dustin), Jeremy (Shiann), Brittany, Brandy, Danielle, Tashina, Craig (Ashley) and Tiffany; and 17 great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends was held on Tuesday July 19, 2016 in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. Burial was in Medway Cemetery.
