Mildred M. Shanks, age 93 of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart, Florida. She was a retired Manager of CODE, City of Dayton Credit Union. She attended Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband , Homer Shanks, and 1 brother Charles Moorehead, sisters Ruth Marie Moorehead & Doris Kelley. Mildred is survived by 2 sons, Richard Shanks of Huber Heights, & Robert Shanks & wife Marlene of Auburn, Alabama, 3 grandchildren, Scott Shanks & wife Anne of Dayton, Tony McCullough & wife Carmen, Emily Ratliff & husband Michael. Mildred is also survived by sisters Norma Boyd of Upper Marlboro, MD, Lois & Richard Lowrey of Dayton & Faith & James Backs of Jensen Beach, FL; and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at Sat., June 25th, 10:00 am at Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Rd, Huber Heights, followed by services at 11:00 am. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
