Who has the cutest baby around? Find out at Family and Youth Initiatives’ annual baby contest at the New Carlisle Heritage of Flight Festival. The festival is Oct. 3 and 4, but entries for the baby contest are being accepted now.

The contest is open to any child under the age of 2 by Oct. 3, 2015. Parents, relatives or friends may enter the baby by submitting a 5x7” or smaller picture of the baby entered into the contest. A person can submit more than one child. The child’s name, address, birth date, parent’s names, address and phone number must be written on the back of the photo. Entries will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Oct. 4. Drop entries off or vote at the FYI office before the festival. During the festival, visit the FYI booth.

The entry fee is $3 and voting will be conducted by donations collected under each photo. Two winners will be chosen - one by getting the most donations and a second by a random drawing. Winners need not be present at the announcement to win. First place wins a $50 Walmart gift card and second place wins a $25 Walmart gift card.

Donations will be used to purchase items needed for clients of the Women’s Network, a program of Family and Youth Initiatives. Since its inception in 1978, the Women’s Network has been assisting thousands of young families with parenting and life skills. Upon completing educational classes, they earn “points,” which allow them to earn the items they need for their babies up to 3 years of age, such as cribs, car seats, strollers, clothing, high chairs, monitors, food and formula, etc.

The New Carlisle Women’s Network is open two days a week on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.  For more information, please call the FYI office at 845-0403 or visit 468 North Dayton-Lakeview Road in New Carlisle. Visit their Web site at www.fyiohio.org.
