Kate Hasting Band will take the stage at Clark County Fairground's Grandstand this Saturday, August 26 beginning at 8 p.m., as the headlining act for Clark County's Wake the Lake event.

Several media partners will be on-hand for national and international coverage of the NGK F1 Powerboat Championship event, including CBS Sports Network, which boasts 700 million viewers worldwide. On a local level, PBS Ohio will be shooting for their Summer Lifestyle show series.

The event - the 5th stop in championship's six-race series - marks NGK's first year sponsoring the event, lead by Bill Seebold (International Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee) and Tim Seebold (multi-national championship winner). Other notable attendees will include points leader and multi-time National Champion and APBA Hall of Champions inductee Terry Rinker, APBA Hall of Champions inductee Chris Fairchild and Mark Proffitt, driving for legendary crew chief and Springfield-native Bill Chatfield.

"It's always so exciting when an event like this offers international exposure for my home county," said Kate Hasting, member and lead singer of Kate Hasting Band. "To be a part of something so big is really exciting for us."

The Kate Hasting Band has come far since New Carlisle-native Hasting made the move to Nashville, winning fans with their Midwest folk pop-country sound and honest lyrical storytelling. The group has released several singles, including "Behind the Bleachers" - with the video being shot at Hasting's Northwestern High School. It received national attention, landing on Great American Country (GAC) and ZUUS Country. Aside from a busy summer tour schedule, they're gearing up to release their latest EP, due out October 20.
