CMA Emerging Artists, The Kate Hasting Band, are coming "home" to tape the music video for their new single, "Behind the Bleachers". Lead singer, Kate Hasting is originally from Clark County Ohio, where the band got its start. Kate and band members, Josh Beale and Cam Smith will film the video at Northwestern High School at the Homecoming football game, October 2.

"We are humbled and honored to have the opportunity to bring this song to life at my Alma Mater, says Kate. Northwestern Schools and this community gave us our start, and we are so excited to be able to give something back. This song is so near and dear to our hearts…it's very nostalgic. There was no better place to capture the song's story for this video than at home."

Now based in Nashville, The Kate Hasting Band has made enormous strides in the world of country music. They have been welcomed by FM Radio, and recognized for their artistry as both writers and performers. They have toured extensively and shared the stage with many national acts, opening for Kellie Pickler, Craig Morgan, Joe Diffie and more.

2015 was especially pivotal as the band was named by the Country Music Association (CMA) as Emerging Artists at this year's CMA Fest. Held in downtown Nashville each summer, thousands of country music fans converge on the city for the event. The band performed and manned their meet and greet booth at the fest and filmed a video for their song, "Country Music." Remarking on their experience, the band said, "With all the talk about what's country and what isn't, we felt asking the fans who come from all over the world to celebrate the genre was a great place to get the answers. We simply asked folks what country music means to them, and filmed their amazing responses. It is by far the most inspiring, emotional experience we have ever had as artists…we were overwhelmed by the love."
