J & J Frostop was located at the northwest corner of Route 40 and 235. It was owned by James Marshall and Jerry Pangallo with Jerry managing the business. They had their Grand Opening on May 12, 1961. They were well known for the Rebel Burger as well as their own Frostop Rootbeer. Frostop was in business until 1974. Next door to the Frostop to the north opened a party supply store in August 1966 known as 3 J’s Party Store. The store which featured a drive-through entrance was managed by Hubie Ward who was also one of the owners. In 1970 the business was sold to Scott Wells and was know as Scotty’s Party Dock. In 1983 Roger Meierhoeffer purchased the business. He added the bait shop known as Crawdaddy’s Outdoor Store. In 2004 he split the business and sold the Drive-thru part.
