The Donnelsville Town Park containing approximately six acres was once known as Headly Park.  The area was named after Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Headly who at first least the land to the Donnelsville Lions Club but eventually donated it in 1959.  The Lions Club decided to build a cabin for their use as was as by the local Boy Scouts.  The Donnelsville Lions’ twenty-two members often met for a work outing and picnic combined to do the work.  The constructed a 26-by-54 foot recreation hall with large steel windows and a concrete floor and a modern kitchen in one corner of the building.  The building was named Huffenberger Hall after Elmo Huffenberger, Scoutmaster of Donnelsville Boy Scout Troop 20, and his family who spent many hours of work with the construction.  President Leo H. Hull of the Donnelsville Lions said the development of Camp Headly was a community project as many local businessmen and residents donated generously, while the Lions Club held auctions, rose sales, and other activities to make the camp a reality.  Camp Headly was donated to Bethel Township in 2006 by the Donnelsville Lions Club.
