The Exchange Club of Springfield recognized Sydney Pauley, a Tecumseh High School senior, as the Student of the Month for January.

Accompanied by Tecumseh High School guidance counselor, Ms. Talley, Pauley received the award at Linardos Villa in Springfield.

Major Doug Couch, THS AFJROTC instructor and Pauley’s nominator, said that Pauley is the perfect example of the type of citizen the ROTC program is trying to build. “She is kind and caring and will no doubt go far in anything she sets her mind to,” said Couch.

Springfield’s Exchange Club is a service organization committed to family, community, and country. Their mission is inspiring communities to become better places to live.

Pauley, the daughter of Michael and Kimberly Pauley, is eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. She plans to attend Wright State University and become a clinical lab scientist.
