New Carlisle Public Library Children’s Librarian “Miss Maggie” Bollar reads to Park Layne Elementary students during a picnic style lunch. Miss Maggie read Halloween and fall-themed stories as part of the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program. The students love a good story, especially when Miss Maggie is the storyteller!

Muse Machine member Charlene Rine volunteered to participate in the in-school performance “Shuffle Off This Mortal Coil” in Pflaumer Auditorium on Tuesday, November 1st. The Human Race Theater Company production featured one actor’s look at the many deaths of Shakespeare.

Spirit Week at New Carlisle Elementary included a food drive and several themed days. Student Council organized the event and donated food items will be distributed by Impact Bethel.

Tecumseh Middle School’s top readers were honored at a breakfast held in their honor in the middle school library at the end of the first grading period. The top ten point earners in the Accelerated Reader (AR) programs are sixth graders: Maggie Slagell, Lucas Berner, Marco Bernardino, Sarah Allen, Brenda Mendoza, Jason Evans, Addison O’Conner, Robert Thompson, Callie Riley and Elie Hoover. Seventh graders: Matthew Wilbanks, Lisandra Negrete, Xavier Prenatt, Genavieve Owens, Caleb Johnson, Cameron Allen, Caitlin Angstadt, Ti’Aunta Owens, Monserrat Mendez, and Arianna Vancil. Eighth graders: Leeanna Scott, Nathen Brogan, Adam Hoover, Dakota Croxdale, Evelyn Barber, Ashlyn Pike, Ashlyn Christopher, Faith Wright, Myka Jarrells, and Bridget Harris.
