Over 100 kids and their families gathered at Friendship Park in Brandt on March 26, 2016 to enjoy the sunshine and to collect as many Easter Eggs as they could find. Bethel Fire Department, Brandt Methodist Church, Brandt Lutheran Church, and West Charleston Brethren Church sponsored the event for the kids.
The Easter Bunny poised for pictures and received big hugs from the kids as the excitement grew in anticipation of the hunt. At 11:00 a.m., Fire Chief Andy Ehrhart drove the Chief’s Car onto the grass and blared the horn to start the hunt. Within eight minutes, all the eggs were safely tucked into the children’s baskets to enjoy later.
In addition, the fire department brought Engine 4 and a Medic Unit for the kids to explore.
