blaze

Blaze is our feature pet this week and he is best described as a “Cuddlebug”. This 3-year-old 55 pound pitty mix has been vaccinated, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is just $70 and as you can see from his photo, he really loves the ladies.

While at the shelter, Blaze has gotten along well with other dogs and shared his kennel. You can stop by the shelter located at 5201 Urbana Road just north of Springfield. The best part is that Blaze also receives his dog license for this price.

Blaze and all of his buddies that have been adopted from the shelter want to take this final opportunity to invite you to come out to Snyder Park this coming Saturday, May 21 and enjoy the Tail-A -Bration. You can still participate in the 5 K Fun Run Walk which begins at 9:30.

Starting at 11 the festivities of the biggest Dog Pawty to happen in Clark County begins at the club house next to Central Bark. There are literally dozens of crafts and games for the kids, demonstrations of agility and a trick class for dog owners.

You can shop for dozens of great gifts for all members of the family from the 20 plus vendors and take a chance at winning one of dozens of great raffle baskets donated by local businesses and organizations.

Corporate sponsor Littleton and Rue Pet Cremations has provided great SWAG bags for the event while Northside Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Dana King has provided party bags for all the kids who attend.

The dogs that bring their owners will be enjoying birthday Pupcakes and of course there will be cupcakes for the humans. Come rain or shine, we will be out there enjoying the fun and entertainment.

If you have a dog who can perform a talent, you can enter them in our Rescues Got Talent Contest to be judged by Natalie Jovonovich, Clark County Auditor John Federer and City Commissioner Karen Duncan. Trophys will be awarded to our top dogs and a certificate of participation to every fur baby who enters. This event is scheduled for 1 - 2 pm with the pawty ending at 3 pm.
